Package Overview

This one week cycling holiday is easy to moderate and has been specifically designed for cyclist with some experience of riding but looking for a traiming camp, great for both beginners and leisure cyclists.

Have you ever wanted to go on a cycling holiday, but the thought of joining a group has been just too daunting?  Or are you recovering for an injury and want to get your confidence back on the bike? If so, this is definitely for you.  No need to worry about speed and climbing; our expert guides will take care of you, so you can enjoy and experience cycling in one of the most popular islands in the Canaries.

This package will not only deliver some great rides, with spectacular scenery, but will also offer the opportunity to ride with like-minded people.  You will be given road-side masterclasses on how to ride safely; tips and techniques on how to change gears effectively; how to make the most of your descent and how to climb the hills.  The beginner’s week will also offer some challenges – hills are inevitable in Lanzarote.

You will also have the use of the hotel gym and have the opportunity to attend pilates classes as well as other fitness classes, if you wish.  Or you could celebrate the day’s achievements over a meal and a glass of wine with your new cycling buddies.

Ride Itinerary & Useful Info


After a short 30 minute private transfer from the airport, you will arrive at your Hotel which is situated in the beautiful resort of Costa Teguise. Once you have checked-in and have time to relax, we will drop the bikes off and ensure they are all ready for your first ride the following morning.

We will also provide you with a brief for the rest of the week.

The Training package

Endurance, skills, knowledge, bike handling, fitness and above all core strengh are all part of this beginners Lanzarote Cycling Training Camp. Provide us with your current abilities and share your goals and objectives and we will ensure that the training will deliver to your needs.

We will deliver four of the best training rides with our expert guides, who know the island like the back of their hand.

On your days off cycling you can learn about how to condition your body for cycling with our two pilate classes.

Given the climate of this island and the amazing facilities of this hotel, along with experienced support, this training package will deliver you great benefits.

You will be able to return home with the knowledge and skills, as well as core strength, to enhance your cycling; whether it's for a home race, sportive or just for general cycling improvement.

Ride Details

The week is made up of four rides:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 

Before your first ride, you will enjoy a welcome breakfast at the hotel with your guide.  This is an opportunity for him to introduce the format of the week, talk a little about cycling in Lanzarote, and get to understand a little about your abilities and expectations. 

Monday's ride will be planned in stages; with options to make shorter or longer, depending on the ability of the group.  Early into the ride you will stop for coffee, and assessments will be made on how everyone is feeling. You will be given lots of encouragement from your guide and if you're feeling good in the legs you will be given opportunities to stretch them and go for it!    

The following days' rides will be planned based on the group's ability.  Distances will range from 50km and the level of difficulty will be guaged accordingly.  You will enjoy complementary coffee and cake and great banter as you explore the island on two wheels.  You will be coached, guided and encouraged; and as the week progresses you will be surprised at what you can actually achieve on the bike.

Rides will finish early afternoon, so you'll get the opportunity to have a lite bite to eat back at the hotel, maybe a drink (or 2), and relax by the pool.  






Pilate Classes

Included in this package are 2 x optional classes

Pilates originated back in the early 20th century and was introduced by “Joseph Pilates”, born in Germany.

Originally more used as part of dance class routines, it’s now used by elite athletes as part of their core training, and more recently, cyclists and triathletes alike have seen the benefits from this Yoga like exercise.

So, you may wonder how do pro cyclist get in those aerodynamic positions and where do they get those extra watts of power from? Well it’s been proven that having a strong “core” body strength results in a more focused power and energy output. 

So, if you have a stronger core, then be sure that more of that power you generate when pushing hard down on those pedals, will be used to propel you forward and, yes, results in more speed and better climbing.

Also, if you have issues with your back, neck and upper body, then increasing the strength of your core will help support these issues.

Discover and Make New Friends

You will arrive on Saturday, and depending on your arrivial time, you will get the opportunity to meet others on the Beginner's Week.  Generally, this week tends to attract solo travellers, so meeting other members of the group and socialising together is an important element of this week. We encourage you to get to know your fellow cyclists at meal times, and a table will be reserved in the restaurant for all members to eat breakfast and evening meals together.

Sunday is a free day, so this is a good opportunity to explore the Island a little.  Take a walk into town and sample the tapas, or visit the market in Teguise, a short taxi ride away.  This is a good way to get to know your fellow cyclists and share your cycling experiences. 

Wednesday is another rest day.  Relax by the pool or discover the island a little more.  The choice is yours. 

The hotel has a good gym, tennis courts, crazy golf and a bowling alley, so there's lots to do should you not want to venture out of the hotel. 



Depending on flight times you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to Lanzarote airport via a private transfer. We will confirm the time of pick up once flights are booked.
