The Wye Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty and the river itself stretches all the way from the Welsh mountains to the Severn Estuary. This is a cyclist dream as the area offers some of the best scenery that Britain has to offer, including the historic towns of Hay On Wye, Hereford, Ross on Wye, Chepstow and the amazing historical Tintern Abbey which welcomes you at the end of the valley ride.
- If its climbs you want, then the area can deliver impressive ones, including Gospel Pass and many short steep climbs around the Ross On Wye area, which can reach as much as 20% in some cases.
- There is of course the beautiful Forest of the Dean which is rich in heritage and provides the road and MTB rider many choices, which includes one of the best MTB trails in the area, the Pedalaway cycle Centre.
- Recently visited by the Tour de Britain, near Monmouth, this area will deliver without doubt to many a cyclist, regardless of your ability.
