Fish

The 'Bahia de Moraira' trademark guarantees that the fish you are eating has been caught locally using traditional fishing techniques. The people of Teulada use the catch to prepare traditional dishes such as "putxero de polp" (squid stew) "sopa de peix" (fish soup) as well as salted melva (similar to tuna), "bull" and "anxova" (anchovy).

Rice

Rice dishes are the stars of the local Teulada cuisine, with exquisite recipes such as "arròs a banda", "arròs amb fessols i naps", "paella amb sardines y espinacs" and "arròs negre". There is rice soup with octopus, "arròs de senyoret" and rice cooked in the oven, which has a marvellous traditional flavour.

Wine

The existing microclimate and the Mediterranean Sea breeze give character and personality to these wines. The leading product is the muscatel “Mistela” and the fortified wines of Muscat, recognized and prized with international awards.

They are as well other wines produced in our wineries from Muscat grapes, which reach to an optimum degree of maturation due to our climate conditions and to the skilled hands of the local farmers. White rosé and red wines which will go with your meals; vermouths to whet your appetite or amazing sparkling wines to celebrate.

Beaches

The l'Ampolla beach, at the foot of the castle, the busiest and largest urban beach in the municipality, is covered with fine golden sand. With peaceful, warm water and proximity to the town centre of Moraira, this  cosmopolitan beach offers superior services. It is bordered by the Marjal del Senillar, a coastal wetland which has been declared a Wildlife Reserve. A popular urban beach. The Cap d'Or peninsula shelters the fine sandy beach of Playa del Portet, which boasts crystal clear waters, This small, shell-shaped beach is a magnificent place for enjoying a peaceful swim, exploring the underwater environment or doing some kayaking. The starting point of a symbolic hiking route to the Cap d'Or watchtower and the plant micro-reserve that shares its name, begins here. It is also the starting point on the coastal lookout point route, a walk which runs along the coast. Semi-urban beach edged by a pleasant seafront promenade.
