After a short transfer, we ride from the north and follow the hugging coastline road back down to the south. You can admire some of the wild landscape of the east coast as you ride through the hairpin bends and take in views of the neighbouring Gran Canary Island.
Never leave sight of the beautiful coastline as the road follows the exciting curves and twisting bends. Climbing is part of this ride although not sustained but of course will include some thrilling descents. The ride comes to an end with a great descent back down to sea level.

Teide is on every cyclists bucket list and this is one of three approaches to the Volcano. Ride above the clouds and expereince the same tarmac that the Pro's have cycled along as part of their Winter and Spring training camps.
Tuesday: La Gomera
On-Bike Statistics: Intermediate, 62 (Km), 1,700 (M) elevation, Advanced,81 (Km), 2,550 (M) elevation
A tough cycling experience in a mystical land of mist and fauna!
La Gomera is the latest addition to our tour schedule-it´s a special island and an amazing day out on the bike! It´s important to remember that the riding is not easy and doesn´t suit the budget of every rider due to the additional expense of the cost of the boat from Los Cristianos to San Sebastian.
However, if you do make it across, you will experience something truly unique. We climb out of the capital, San Sebastian, towards the World Heritage site that is the Garonjonay National Park. With its 450 variations of flora and year-round misty appearance, there is something very mystical about this cycling paradise. Coupled with the island´s unique whistling language, La Gomera is special.
**Please note there is a supplement of 65 Euro for the Ferry crossing for ths day only** Payable in resort
Wednesday: Masca and the Teno Mountains
On-Bike Statistics: Intermediate, 45 (Km), 1,150 (M) elevation, Advanced,92 (Km), 2,300 (M) elevation
The amazing Teno mountain range, in the island’s north west tip, is the scene for ride four. This incredible ride with its challenging main climb and optional wall climb, will challenge the strongest of riders! These climbs are challenging but reward you with some of most spectacular views and scenery the island has to offer. And of course we will include some thrilling descents for added pleasure!
Thursday: Teide South Approach
On-Bike Statistics: Intermediate, 68 (Km), 1,420 (M) elevation, Advanced,85 (Km), 2,170 (M) elevation
The incredible and popular Teide South tour will start from San Miguel or Vilaflor, depending on which level you ride. Regardless of the start point, we will pass through the spectacular Coronal Forest that crowns the majestic Teide, enjoy riding above the clouds as you make your way to the top. We arrive at Retamar at 2230 metres. From here, we drop into the crater and head for the Parador, this is where the SKY Team stayed for their 2012 pre tour training. This high altitude ride is demanding as it is spectacular!
Friday: Teide East
Teide from the east side is incredible! Whether you start from the village of Arafo, the top of the climb, or the start point in between, you will be challenged and rewarded with some of the best scenery the island has to offer. You will be afforded views of the capital, Santa Cruz, Tenerife´s first tourist resort of Puerto de la Cruz as well as northern and eastern coastlines.
The stunning Mount Teide will suddenly appear through the clouds and then disappear for another few kilometres. Climb along the ridge, past the observatory, and then the mountain appears again-it is simply magical. At El Portillo we turn left towards the mountain passing the unique Ucanca desert and ´La Tarta´(the cake) with its coloured layers of volcanic ash.
We´ll continue around the crater before climbing up and then back to our café through Vilaflor.
