Package Overview

Gentle Cycle Greenways, Mediaval Castles, Local Wine Musuem, All tours are all included in this week long family cycling holiday.

La Vía Verde del Aceite ( Olive Oil Greenway) in its section of Subbética runs between olive trees and vineyards to the south of Cordoba province following the route of the old Oil Train. Along the disused Subbética train tracks, previously used by the Olive Oil Train, you can travel through inland Andalusia on bike and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Nature reserve in the Sierras Subbéticas mountains.

Cycling is gentle but adventurous, with stops for lunch and guided tours of castles, a winery and even a visit to explore the bat cave of Zuheros. Explore at will and enjoy the beautiful area, knowing that support is at hand if needed, and luggage is transferred from hotel to hotel.

Free time is also included so you can take a self-guided tour of the towns and enjoy this traditional Spanish culture.

Riding is no more than 25-27KM per day. Take as long as you like and take in the spectacular views that take you through this picturesque part of Spain.

The surrounding area in the province of Jaen is littered with small white washed towns and villages; most of which have a castle as the focal point of the town, perched high in a commanding position.

An ideal cycling holiday focused on supporting a family looking to make cycling a focus for their holiday, along with exploring the delights of the Spanish history and culture, with some fun thrown in for the little ones.
