Costa Daurada Mountain Bike Week
Talk to most cyclists and they will tell you about Mallorca and the great cycling trips that they have enjoyed there, but very few of them will mention the Costa Daurada, just a short distance away, on the Spanish Mainland.
The Costa Daurada is an area steeped in history and culture, its capital city Tarragona was once the second most important city in the Roman Empire and today is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with some of the best preserved Roman ruins in Europe.
This is an area with some of the best cycling to be found anywhere in Europe, thousands of kilometres of perfectly surfaced secondary roads, winding their way through forests, valleys and vineyards, past monasteries and Moorish villages, it has everything – long climbs, short climbs, rollers, technical curves and descents that will leave you with a grin from ear to ear, all without seeing any traffic.
The professional teams have been keeping the Costa Daurada secret, over the last few years it has been home to Giant-Alpecin, Bretagne Séché, Team 3M and many others, they just keep coming back time and time again.
Tours are based out of Cambrils on the coast, but close to the foothills and mountains of the Serra de LLaberia, Muntanyes de Prades and the Montsant Natural Park.
Come and join us on the Costa Daurada and discover a new cycling paradise – the pro teams best kept secret!

Today, the Costa Daurada serves up some amazing scenery and quality riding. We take in sights of crystal blue Lakes, majestic mountains and historic monasteries. This is another 4 -5 hour circle route with plenty of single track, we’ll be mixing up the open mountain with the technical forest tracks, a bit more climbing today, but some stunning descents. A real GoPro day!

The last ride but one to remember!. Once again we’ll be do doing a point to point enduro ride, starting high and finishing low, you’ll have a total combined ascent of around 500 metres, but a combined descent of over 2000 metres.
