4 Islands Canaries Cycling Tour
The Canary islands consist of seven islands of volcanic origin just off the coast of north Africa. Most cyclist who visit the islands will cycle the popular destinations of Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura which have a climate perfect for cycling in the Winter, Spring and Autumn months and also provide 1,000’s of kilometers of tarmac for road cyclists.
Each island has its own unique offering, from the dried lava rock fields of Lanzarote, the white sandy beaches of Fuerteventura, the mountains of Gran Canaria, to the forests of Tenerife. Each island has a very different landscape and with Mollydoo you get the opportunity to ride across all four islands during one epic tour so you can experience the dramatic and spectacular scenery.

Distance: 136Km, 1,670m altitude gain
Ferry at 8:30 from Playa Blanca, arriving in Fuerteventura at 8:55 for the longest ride of the tour. 136km riding the length of Fuerteventura. Starting from the ferry terminal in Corralejo we follow the coast for the first 15km before heading in land to the historical town of Betancuria. Finishing in Morro Jable after 1,670m of climbing.
Tuesday: Gran Canaria
Distance: 50Km, 1,433m altitude gain
Very early ferry at 6:30 (2 hr ferry ride) takes us from Fuerteventura to Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria, after a long ride yesterday today is just a short one of 50km but with plenty of climbing (1,433m) to take us to Cruz de Tejeda in the centre of the island.
Wednesday: Gran Canaria
Distance: 99Km, 1,450m altitude gain
Another long ride of 99km, despite descending down from the mountains in the centre of the island to sea level there is still plenty of climbing to be done on this ride (1,450m). The last kilometres along the cliffs from La Aldea de Saint Nicholas to our hotel in Agaete are truly exceptional.
Distance: 38Km, 1,246m altitude gain
The ferry leaves at 8:30 taking us to the last island, Tenerife. Arriving at 9:50 it's a short ride of just 38km through the forests in the north of the island, a stark contrast to the island we started on just a few days ago. After 1246m of climbing we finish the day in La Laguna.
Distance: 110Km, 2,430m altitude gain
This is the big ride of tour, not the longest at 110km but with 2,430m of climbing it's a long way up to the top of Mt Tiede before we descend down the other side to the coast. Having ridden from Lanzarote across Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria to finish the tour on the south coast of Tenerife.
